Orlando World Center Marriott has completed a comprehensive renovation of its Grand Ballroom, enhancing both design and functionality as part of a broader upgrade to its expansive meetings and convention facilities.

“This transformation reflects our commitment to providing world-class event experiences,” said Robert Bray, General Manager of Orlando World Center Marriott, in a press statement. “Every detail has been carefully designed to blend sophistication with adaptability.”

The reimagined Grand Ballroom spans more than 36,000 sf and now features 14 configurable sections. Upgrades include new carpeting, wall and airwall coverings, entry doors and trim, as well as contemporary chandeliers. The space is further supported by upgraded lighting and sound systems designed to meet current production needs.

Enhancements From Top to Bottom

The ballroom redesign is part of a larger investment across the resort’s convention center. Enhancements extend into pre-function areas, where new furnishings—including communal tables and seating—create additional space for networking and informal meetings.

The renovation modernized public restrooms and introduced new large-format digital boards throughout key areas of the convention space to support branding, wayfinding and sponsorship activations. The refreshed design introduces a modern aesthetic, anchored in gray and blue tones and complemented by energy-efficient LED lighting.

In total, the property offers more than 500,000 sf of flexible meeting space, including boardrooms and one of the largest pillar-free ballrooms in the world at 105,000 sf

Guest accommodations feature hard-surface flooring, expanded workstations with ample power outlets, walk-in showers, in-room refrigerators, high-speed WiFi and private balconies overlooking the resort’s 200-acre grounds and Walt Disney World Resort.

Beyond the meeting space, the resort offers a range of on-site amenities suited for group programs and incentive travel, including 10 dining venues, a 400,000-gallon lagoon-style pool, seven waterslides, a dedicated kids’ splash zone and a 575-foot lazy river.
