Attendees looking to master cocktail making will want to take advantage of the summer Spirit of Cocktailing series offered by EPIC Hotel’s LILT Lounge in downtown Miami. Led by Dean Feddaoui, director of beverage at EPIC and LILT, and Lilt’s lead bartender Spencer Taliaferro, each cocktail class will explore a different natural element and teach attendees how to incorporate it into cocktails made with different spirits.

“We want to show guests that the art of cocktailing is not only fun, but easy. In this particular cocktail series, Spencer and I will be recreating some of LILT’s signature drinks while playing with the natural elements: earth, water and fire,” says Feddaoui.

The classes are available for up to 10 people ($60 per person) and will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Owner’s Lounge. Attendees will learn how to make cocktails using three different spirits as well as gain more in-depth knowledge about everything from ingredient pairing to garnishes to spices. Light appetizers made by Area 31’s Executive Chef Wolfgang Birk will also be provided.

Cocktail class dates are currently scheduled for July 5, Aug. 23 and Sept. 20, and classes can be booked on Eventbrite. The hotel can also accommodate groups on different dates. While the class is limited to only 10 (because of its many moving parts), the hotel can book several, depending on the demand.

This summer, Lilt Lounge is also offering a 20 percent discount on events booked from now through the end of August for any Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Meeting planners can even earn 10 percent off for Fridays and Saturdays. The trendy atmosphere is available for up to 130 attendees, or 50 outside.
