Meeting planners looking to book luxury group options for both land and sea can now do so more easily through a new partnership between Rocco Forte Hotels and Silversea Cruises.
Both privately owned Italian heritage hospitality companies, the two share similar values and take pride in their customer service, according to Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio, the cruise company’s chairman. And now they will work together to offer groups benefits and savings as a result of the alliance.
Highlights for Silversea attendees staying at Rocco Forte Hotels include upgrades, transfers, unpacking services and VIP amenities. The perks continue for Rocco Forte attendees stepping aboard a Silversea cruise, with savings on rates, VIP treats at embarkation as well as potential invites to dine with the ships’ captains or senior officers.
Both Lefebvre d’Ovidio and Sir Rocco Forte, chairman of Rocco Forte Hotels, have shared a personal friendship throughout the years, and the similarities between the two Italian brands are quite apparent. The décor throughout the hotels and ships include spacious layouts and ornate furnishings. Plus, both offer high-end incentive options such as a whiskey tasting at The Balmoral hotel’s Scotch bar in Edinburgh, Scotland, or a ballet performance via one of Silversea’s enrichment programs, to name a few.
Groups looking to take advantage of the partnership will want to meet at one of 11 hotels and resorts that make up the Rocco Forte Hotels collection. The brand owns properties throughout Europe and in Saudi Arabia, with additional openings scheduled next year in Rome and Shanghai.
