A Month of Pride in Seattle

Whether conventions, affinity groups, incentive travel, alumni groups or social organizations, Pride Month events work especially well as group travel inspiration because they naturally combine culture, entertainment, community and destination appeal.

If your group is in Seattle this summer, the city is hosting several major Pride festivals and parades, with additional events continuing into August.

Major Parades and Flagship Festivals

Pride Month features the city’s largest gatherings: unless noted:

Seattle Pride Parade, June 28: This event, largest in Washington State, draws over 300,000 with more than 250 participating groups.
PrideFest Seattle, June 27-28: PrideFest takes over Capitol Hill and the Seattle Center with live entertainment, hundreds of vendors, food and drink options.
Seattle Trans Pride, June 26: A free annual festival celebrating Trans life and TwoSpirit, Trans, & Gender Diverse communities across the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

Community and Neighborhood Festivals

Throughout June and August, various neighborhoods and communities host their own festivals:

Seattle Pride in the Park, June 6: This 16th annual celebration offers a full day of fun, food music and more, all in the name of inclusion and community.
White Center Pride Street Festival, June 6: Themed around “All Out, the event will feature food, venders, entertainment and a kids area.
Queer Pride Festival, June 26-28: Seattle’s annual 3-day LGBTQIA+ music and nightlife celebration has a stellar lineup of talent prepared, including Emmy-nominated Keke Palmer and rapper JT. This is a 21+ event.
Cuff Pride Fest, June 26-28: One of the oldest LGBTQ+ clubs in Seattle, The Cuff will host three days of live headliner performances, including Aluna, Jon Klaft, Dan Slater and Paulo.
Indigiqueer Festival, June 27: Honoring the identities that have existed on indigenous lands since time immemorial, this festival includes performances, workshops and an artist market with Indigiqueer creatives from the Pacific Northwest.
Ballard Regnbue, June 26: A free community event featuring live music, kids’ activities, a vendor market and three soccer matches displayed on a jumbo video screen.
Alki Beach Pride, Aug. 15: A later summer celebration featuring live entertainment, health and wellness vendors, local LGBTQ vendors, kids’ area and food trucks. Arrive via water taxi from downtown; shuttles also available.

Other Notable Pride Events

In addition to traditional festivals, the city hosts specialized events for all age groups including:

PNA Pride Rainbow Hop, June 6: Community-focused, with an anti-bullying theatrical play, a Senior Pride parade, crafts and activities and Drag Queen Story Time. Also: a Cajun concert and dance.
Run and Walk with Pride, June 20: An annual run/walk event and fundraiser for local LGBTQIA+ nonprofit organizations.
Seattle Pride Classic, June 12-14: Proud hockey fans unite at this tournament, which also features an “Icebreaker Social.”
Professional Sports Pride Nights: Several major teams host dedicated Pride nights, including the Mariners (June 1 and June 29), Seawolves (June 7), the Seattle Storm (June 27), and Seattle Reign FC (Aug. 14).
Paws & Pride Dog Walk, June 6: More than just a walk in the park, here’s a vibrant community celebration bringing together people, pups and Pride in the heart of Downtown Bellevue.
