San Francisco’s Moscone Center is adding a new amenity for attendees who need a quiet place to take a call, meet privately or get work done without leaving the convention center.
ZenSpace Event Solutions has installed its smart, soundproof meeting pods in high-traffic concourse areas of the convention complex, creating on-demand private workspace while also giving the venue a way to generate revenue from underused square footage.
The move comes as convention centers invest in upgrades designed to make better use of existing space and respond to changing attendee expectations. Bizzabo’s 2026 State of Events Benchmark Report found that 75% of organizers consider it important to give attendees opportunities to step back, focus and disconnect during an event.

Yet private space for calls, quick meetings and heads-down work can be difficult to find on a busy show floor.
ZenSpace pods are designed to address that gap without construction or a permanent change to the venue’s footprint. Installed in concourses, pre-function areas and lobbies, the climate-controlled pods can be reserved through app- or QR-code-based technology. For attendees, the result is a quiet workspace close to the action; for venues, previously underused space becomes an ancillary revenue opportunity.
“Every attendee at every trade show needs private space to take calls, hold meetings, and do focused work, yet most convention centers have no scalable solution,” said Mayank Agrawal, CEO of ZenSpace Event Solutions, in a media release. “Moscone Center leadership recognized that ZenSpace addresses that problem while simultaneously transforming underutilized lobby and concourse space into measurable revenue.”
The pods feature acoustic engineering, switchable privacy glass, power outlets, USB charging and high-speed Wi-Fi. Wireless screen casting allows users to present, join video calls or share content without cables. Options range from compact Focus pods for individual work to larger Team pods for small-group meetings, along with ADA-accessible models.

Moscone Center, managed by Legends Global, encompasses three main halls across three blocks in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood. The ZenSpace pods are being deployed in areas where attendee demand for private meeting space is greatest.
“ZenSpace pods add a layer of convenience our event organizers and attendees have been requesting,” says Leonie Patrick, General Manager of Moscone Center. “On-demand private meeting space in our lobbies means attendees can conduct business without leaving the venue.”
The Moscone Center installation follows ZenSpace deployments at more than 250 events nationwide and a recently announced installation at Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center. The company says additional venue partnerships are planned for 2026 and 2027.
