Prevue is returning to F2F events once again with the Best Practices Summit May 10-11 at the Dallas/Plano Marriott at Legacy Town Center.

• Best Practices in Negotiating—Linda Swindling, Keynote Speaker will share tactics and strategies which help people show up powerfully and ask for what they really want..

• Best Practices in Data Analysis—Melissa Van Dyke, Creative Group will explore best principles in using data before, during and after events with a focus on how data can elevate each stakeholder’s experience in an event.

• Best Practices in Contracting—Katie Muck, Meeting Sites Resource will discuss a multitude of methods to negotiate contracts that assure added meeting value, cost savings and risk management.

• Best Practices in Meeting Safety—Prevue’s Barbara Scofidio and Desi Whitney, CEO of Emergency Concierge International, will share the decision-making that went into the design of this event and host a group discussion about best practices for keeping events safe in 2021.

Ethics Best Practices—The group will break out into roundtables for discussions on the ethics topics that matter the most to them.

Barbara Scofidio is Editor of Prevue and heads up the Visionary Summits, our exclusive conference series targeting senior-level meeting and incentive planners. In her 30 years in the industry, she has become known for her passion around greening meetings, growing awareness of human trafficking and promoting CSR activities as part of business events. She is currently a member of SITE's Women IN Leadership committee and the media liaison for FICP's Education Committee. She was the first member of the media ever to be invited to sit on a committee by GBTA, where she spent three years on the Groups and Meetings Committee. She has also been an active member of SITE for 30 years, chairing its Crystal Awards committee and acting as a judge. Before joining Prevue in 2014, she served as Editor of Corporate Meetings & Incentives (MeetingsNet) for more than 20 years. She has a BA in Literature/Rhetoric from Binghamton University. Barbara is based outside Boston, in Groton, Mass.
