A $35 million renovation to Hilton Miami Downtown brings groups a completely new option when visiting downtown’s Performing Arts District.

An emphasis on technology and contemporary fashion and art give new life to the property’s look, especially throughout its 527 guest rooms that now feature warm colors and contemporary lines. Same goes for the hotel’s 16th-floor Club Level lounge and more than 45,200 sf of redesigned meeting space.

The hotel’s Brisa Bistro restaurant also underwent a major overhaul with a new design and new menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Combining culinary experiences from the Caribbean, South America and Europe, the restaurant’s creative fusions are a nod to Miami’s cultural history. Also, don’t miss the restaurant’s Carpe Diem Wine Room, which can accommodate up to 16 attendees for a meal with wine pairings.

The property anchors the city’s downtown revitalization from the site of what was once the Omni International Mall. While the hotel withstood the mall’s 2000 closing, other parts of the complex have been taken over by Miami International University School of Art & Design and Crystal Cruises, among other office spaces. Some elements from the original development remained the same, however, with a 2,500-spot parking lot as well as a football-size loading dock available for planners looking to deliver extra-large equipment to the 17,000-sf ballroom with ease.

Next on the hotel’s docket? Its rooftop pool deck, CityVu outdoor bar and grill, and 1601 Lounge will all receive additional multimillion-dollar upgrades, scheduled for completion later this year.
