Marriott International has signed an agreement with Townhouse Hotels to add eight hotels and more than 700 rooms to its portfolio in the Netherlands.

Six properties are expected to join Series by Marriott, marking the brand’s debut in the country, while two will join Tribute Portfolio.

The hotels span five Dutch cities, including Amsterdam, Breda and The Hague, and will mark Marriott’s entry into Maastricht and Eindhoven.

“This agreement represents a significant milestone for Marriott International in the Netherlands, bringing eight hotels into our portfolio and introducing Series by Marriott to the Dutch market,” said Jerome Briet, Marriott’s Chief Development Officer, Europe, Middle East & Africa, in a media statement. “Together with Townhouse Hotels, we look forward to providing guests with even more compelling travel experiences across the Netherlands.”

Series by Marriott Debuts in the Netherlands

The six Series by Marriott properties are:

  • Townhouse Amsterdam WTC, Series by Marriott — The 84-room hotel in Amsterdam’s Zuidas business district will rebrand from Hotel Qbic WTC Amsterdam.
  • Townhouse The Hague, Series by Marriott — The 88-room hotel is located near government institutions, international organizations and cultural attractions.
  • Townhouse Maastricht, Series by Marriott — The 82-room hotel is near Maastricht’s historic center.
  • Townhouse Mabi Maastricht, Series by Marriott — This 55-room boutique hotel occupies a former cinema.
  • Townhouse Kaboom Maastricht, Series by Marriott — The 79-room hotel features a bold, contemporary design.
  • Townhouse Breda, Series by Marriott — The 106-room hotel will rebrand from Hotel Keyser and will be the largest Series by Marriott property in the group.

Two Hotels Join Tribute Portfolio

The two additional properties will join Tribute Portfolio, Marriott’s collection of independent hotels.

The Ald Hotel The Hague, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel has 91 rooms and is located in the heart of The Hague.

Hotel Mariënhage Eindhoven is joining the Tribute Portfolio.

Hotel Mariënhage Eindhoven, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel has 134 rooms in a former monastery complex. The property will also mark Marriott’s entry into Eindhoven.

As of Q2 2026, Marriott operates more than 30 properties across 12 brands in the Netherlands, including W Hotels, Marriott Hotels, Sheraton, Renaissance, Tribute Portfolio, Autograph Collection, Residence Inn, Courtyard, Moxy, Design Hotels, Element and citizenM.
