A $223 million renovation of The LINQ Hotel & Casino (previously the Quad) marks the final touch on an almost $1 billion investment from Caesars Entertainment Corporation to redevelop the east side of Las Vegas Boulevard. This latest addition to the LINQ complex—which also includes the LINQ Promenade and its 550-foot High Roller Observation Wheel—makes it easier for groups to stay in one of the hottest parts of The Strip.
The 2,253-room property rounds out the LINQ retail and entertainment district’s meeting package, which already includes The Cromwell Las Vegas, a sister boutique property that opened in recent years, and Brooklyn Bowl, an 80,000-sf bowling alley that can host events up to 3,000 attendees. In between meeting, attendees can dine or shop their way through the LINQ Promenade before taking a ride on the High Roller, the world’s tallest observation tower and now one of the most visible attractions on the Las Vegas Strip.
The hotel was redesigned with the millennial traveler in mind, with technology and convenience offered through an automated valet retrieval system and automated check-in process. Attendees can also use available touch screens to make bookings for nearby dining and entertainment such as the on-property 3535 infusion bar, with 35 custom-made infusions used to make delicious cocktails. Plus, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire resort, including all guest rooms.
For groups, the 20,000-sf Vortex outdoor event venue offers customizable space overlooking the Vegas Strip. Meeting planners can create an indoor-outdoor experience by using both the 18,000-sf Bloq ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows and the Vortex. For example, the property recently hosted a private event on the Fourth of July for its top gaming customers in which attendees were able to watch the Las Vegas fireworks from the Vortex while enjoying live entertainment.
“While there are nightlife options that can be rented for groups that overlook the Strip, the Vortex is the only space dedicated solely for meetings and events that offers this fantastic view and experience,” says Reina Herschdorfer, director of marketing for Caesars Entertainment National Meetings and Events.
Brooklyn Bowl, located in the LINQ Promenade, is also perfect for group events, not just for bowling, says Herschdorfer. The bowling alley on steroids is about four times the size of the original Brooklyn Bowl in New York, but it still has the same look and feel of its hipster predecessor with warehouse-style ceilings and leather couches to sit in between bowling. While it obviously offers groups opportunities to play games, Brooklyn Bowl can also accommodate bands and live entertainment as well as a variety of food options, including its delicious Blue Ribbon fried chicken.
“The Vortex and Brooklyn Bowl are part of the reimagining of Las Vegas,” says Herschdorfer. “Visitors are looking for more non-gaming options, and these venues offer that unique experience.”
