For meeting and incentive planners looking to build high-profile group experiences around major sporting events, Nashville is poised to become one of the industry’s most closely watched destinations after the National Football League announced the city will host Super Bowl LXIV in 2030.
The announcement was made during the NFL Spring League Meeting in Orlando after team owners approved the proposal following a review by the league’s Fan Engagement & Major Events Committee. The game will be played at the new Nissan Stadium, currently under development and set to become the future home of the Tennessee Titans.
“The 2019 NFL Draft in Nashville was one of the greatest fan events in our history,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, in a media statement. “Super Bowl LXIV at the new stadium is the next step in this remarkable football journey.”
A First For Nashville
Nashville previously demonstrated its ability to host major sporting events during the 2019 NFL Draft, which attracted approximately 600,000 attendees over the course of the weekend and generated an estimated $224 million in economic impact for the destination.
For planners, the Super Bowl designation adds another layer to Nashville’s growing appeal as a host destination that blends entertainment, hospitality, live music and sporting events into one experience.
“Hosting the Super Bowl is a defining moment for Nashville and Tennessee and reflects years of work to build Music City into a globally recognized destination for music, entertainment, and live events,” said Deana Ivey, Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp, president & CEO, in a press statement.
In addition to the game itself, Super Bowl week will bring a series of high-profile events that could appeal to corporate groups and incentive travelers, including NFL Honors, the Super Bowl Experience, Opening Night and community engagement programs.
Event Spaces at the Stadium
Slated to open in the first quarter of 2027, the stadium will not only serve as the future home of the Tennessee Titans, but also expand Nashville’s portfolio of venues for conventions, corporate gatherings, incentive programs and entertainment-driven events.
The 1960 Clubs will offer a more intimate, upscale setting inspired by Nashville style and Southern hospitality. Featuring direct field access and 50-yard-line views, the 8,254-sf venue will accommodate up to 225 seated guests or 250 attendees for receptions.
For larger-scale gatherings, the Edgefield Club will introduce nearly 20,000 sf of event space with refined interiors and an outdoor terrace overlooking the stadium. The venue will host up to 320 seated guests or 700 attendees reception-style.
The Platinum Club, meanwhile, is expected to become one of the stadium’s flagship event venues. Designed with music-inspired decor and vintage accents that reflect Nashville’s entertainment identity, the 22,668-sf space will feature field-facing views and accommodate up to 1,000 guests for receptions.
For smaller VIP gatherings, the Touchdown Club will offer a more boutique experience. The speakeasy-inspired lounge will include a fireplace, full bar and moody design aesthetic across 2,450 sf, with capacity for 96 seated guests or 150 attendees reception-style.
The largest event venue within the stadium complex will be the West Endzone Landing & Terrace, a 53,763-square-foot indoor-outdoor space featuring panoramic views of both the stadium and the Nashville skyline. The venue will accommodate up to 1,250 reception guests.
